ANYBODY HAVE INFO ON BIBLIOFIND.COM

Question:

I’ve had dealings with bibliofind. It’s an umbrella service connected to a lot of bookstores around the country and the world. It’s not an auction service. You just find what you want and if it’s available you’ll be directed to where to buy it and for how much. I’ve never had a problem with bibliofind. HOWEVER, there’s a better service called bookfinder (http://www.bookfinder.com) that’s bigger. It’s connected to amazon, powell’s bookstore in portland oregon (HUGE independent bookstore), and tons of smaller ones. Very worthwhile. Hope this helps. Gary Morris

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Somebody in this group recently pointed out Bibliofind as a possible alternate venue to ebay for book sales.  Their website is tantalizing but…….no phone no., email is not answered and vague info about how the site actually handles uploads and credit card purchases. The listing costs 25 bucks a month with a 25 buck start up fee. But how much do they charge for using a credit card? Furthermore, its owned by amazon, which puts you in competition with one of the biggest book stores in the world. Amazon has not been known for being anybodys buddy in the past. So, has anyone used this service? What did you experience?
