Question:

Hard to say..lots of reputable businesses accept only limited forms of payment.  If you go to liquidation sales or live auctions, many only accept cash.  Checks are only accepted with an accompanying bank letter of credit.

My impression is that liquidators are more likely to have limited payment options than other companies, since (1) they work on rather narrow margins, when overhead is included, and a couple percentage points for the credit card company is a significant chunk, and (2) everybody else in the business is working on rather narrow margins, meaning a lot of them can’t cover their checks. But, I wouldn’t rush to bidr.  It appears by the lot sizes of the dutch auction-100 items in each auction (that nice round number seems suspicious!) he’ll have plenty left over after this batch of auctions ends the 18th.  Wait to see the feedback that rolls in first!

Their most recent neg was from a similar Dutch auction sale; they got 3 or 4 positives from other bidders on that one. GK

If you read through the auctions he has listed, look at his feedback and take notice to the only forms of payments he accepts, I would most definitely think before bidding.  It seems to me that a large business that is able to purchase millions and millions of dollars worth of merchandise would at least take a credit card???  Sounds like a big fat scam to me! Also, this person does have 30 something pos feedbacks, but if you look at what they are for, it is all very small dollar items they have bought! http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=mita… ateway.net&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=25 What do you guys think?

I am quite suprised by the number of bidders! This "grab bag auction" stuff is really becoming a problem. I think eBay should kill any auction that does not state *exactly* what the bidder will receive – (ie: the "toys auction" could be a bunch of $4 close out junk from discontinued products lot auction). Someone want to auction off the change in their pocket? Could be a thousand $$$$$ ???? ;-)
