Question:
Yes I did use a web form, extremely difficult to find for me, I am visually disabled. It is almost like eBay doesn’t want you to report problems, at least that is what it is like for someone like me who cannot see too good. Ebay is a harbour for what the hell ever!

I wonder if Chris has a teenage son named Jay, and a husband who has a portable saw he hardly ever uses and probably wouldn’t miss for a long time. I also wonder if Jay maybe isn’t now permanently grounded for life, the saw is safely back in the workshop, and we’ll all pretend it never happened. BobR

We understand how important it is that every eBay user has valid contact information and we will investigate your report fully. In some instances the member may have forgotten to update his or her information after a move or change of phone number. The member may also be experiencing temporary email address problems. We will work closely with the member you are reporting to ensure the matter is brought to his or her attention. If you’ve been unable to reach the member through email and you have not done so already, you may want to call and speak to your trading partner in person. You can request another member’s phone number by going to the following web form and filling out the "Contact Info" section: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MemberSearchShow In the meantime, we will investigate the member’s email address and/or contact information. Investigations of this nature usually take 1-2 days. If we are unable to obtain valid information for the account, the member may be suspended from using our site. If no action has been taken after this time, you can assume the information has been updated. Please keep in mind that due to our privacy policy you will not receive a specific report of action, but we assure you that we will apply our guidelines fairly. If you are a seller and your winning bidder becomes suspended as a result of having invalid contact information, your best course of action would be to file a Non Paying Bidder (NPB) report and a Final Value Fee Credit Request Form. Information about our Non Paying Bidder Program can be found at the following location: http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/npb.html If you are a bidder and your seller is suspended as a result of invalid contact information after payment has been sent, you will receive a follow-up email from the SafeHarbor Team with additional suggestions about how to resolve the situation. You can review the status of another member’s account by looking at their feedback page. To review a member’s feedback profile, enter the User ID into the "Feedback Profile" section of the following web page: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MemberSearchShow The words "Not a Registered User" will appear on a suspended member’s feedback page. **Please do not respond to this email as your reply will not be received. We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking a moment to contact us. Thank you for helping to keep eBay a safe and reputable forum in which to conduct business. Regards, The eBay SafeHarbor Team <snip 8. contact eBay with details of auction and have heard nothing in over a week. <snip How did you report it? Did you report it on the webform section for reporting invalid contact information? That one is usually pretty quick. If you haven’t heard in a week, and the ID is still active, I’d send the report again. What makes me wonder is that you say you’ve heard nothing in a week. Generally you get a form email for questions made through the webform, telling you that your question has been received, that it will be responded to in a couple of days, and giving you a file number. They don’t always send you anything else, but you generally get the first form email, which you can reply to in order to get around the web form for follow up communications.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I sent the modified message below, name and other information is not complete to avoid braking ebay rules, three times, i have not recieved any reply from eBay and am conserned nothing is being done to check the validity of the seller in question. I purchaseed eBay Item: Circular Saw with 1 Battery New (Item #2349023219) two sundays ago. I contacted the seller, jayrishard, several times asking for a total for shipping, they did not reply. I began to think something was up, so I got jayrishard contact info from eBay. This mornig I received an email from jayrishard, stating total for the item was $62.35, I paid it with paypal. All day I checked to see if jayrishard would claim the $62.35, $41 for the eBay item and $21.35 for shippping, they did not claim it. I desided to call jayrishard on the phone, or as the eBay contact info states:Name: Chris xxx Company: City: xxxState: FL Country: United States Phone: (90x) x8x – x06x The woman I spoke with, she said her name was Chris and she confirmed her phone # and that she did live in city and state as indicated by eBay, and that she was totally unaware of any such item that she was selling on ebay. She claims to know nothing of this transaction on ebay and seems conserned that her information is associated with jayrishard, as registered on ebay. Something stinks here, either the woman is upset that the new item they sold on ebay only sold for $41, this item retails at $229 on amazon and much higher in Tool stores, or this woman is unaware of her familys goings on, or eBay has a problem with userids and contact info for users. I ended up canceling my payment to jayrishard on paypal, because he or she never claimed it and it turns out that this user is not even registered with paypal. Further to my original message above, I spoke with Chris xxx, the person indicated by a request for contact information I made to ebay on userid jayrishard, Tuesday night, after the auction, In my previous phone call, earlier Tuesday, to Chris, documented in the original email to ebay above, I forgot to ask her about the person using her account, Jay xxx, the seller as indicated by an email with the total of $62 or eBay userid jayrishard. While speeking to Chris the second time, I asked who was "Jay", Chris replied "I am Jay". Well now I was really confused, I then asked who was Chris, she would not reply, i asked a couple more times and there was no answer. She told me she contacted ebay support and paypal but I can not be certain, she claimed she reported identity theft. My original call to 90x-x8x-x06x as indicated phone number for jayrishard, was answered by Chris, that is what she told me her name was and minutes after the conversation ended I called back several times but got an answering machine and each time the message stated I had reached chris an to leve a message, not once did it say I reached "Jay".
