it's NOT ebaY…

Question:

My first post, I’m usually just a lurker. I notice that one of you guys on here (Fred I think) insist’s on calling ebay ebaY. Well just for your info I got a goodie bag in the mail on Friday from ebay (believe it or not they actually asked me for advice, which I gave and they sent me a goodie bag) But the most interesting thing was the headed paper and business card it was very clearly written as eBay. Not Ebay, not ebaY and not ebay. Regards Andy    http://www.newsfeed.com       The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! —–= Over 100,000 Newsgroups – Unlimited Fast Downloads – 19 Servers =—–

So now is somebody going to have a heart attack every time it’s written as "ebay"?

Response:

That’s generally the accepted way of writing it (eBay). However, if you look at their logo, it is ebaY. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – My first post, I’m usually just a lurker. Not a lot, a pretty cool briefcase bag with their logo and a truck load of pens! Still it was free and to get ANYTHING from ebay for free is a miracle, I would have preferred some free listings…. Don’t sayn that too loud, or that’s all we’ll ever get.  They have to pay for those pens, listings only cost them some bananas for the programmers. — ‘If I don’t reply to your post it doesn’t mean you won the argument, it means my time is valuable.’
