I worked a deal on the phone with Mike Brookman in which I was to purchase his 97 cobra wheels. We talked for over a week to arrange shipping/money. I purchased a money order and called him to let him know I was mailing it. He then tells me that he is selling the wheels to someone that offered him more money. Yeah, thats great, more money, but what happened to keeping your word? So much for integrity, eh Mike? Thanks for calling me so that I didnt waste my money and time to purchase a money order. If your going to spend the time to agree on a deal, then you should stick to it. Thanks asshole. Jeff

I figured that was going to happen (I’m assuming he’s the guy who offered them for $40 apiece?) At $40 each, someone would have to start jacking up the price… He should have sold them on ebay if he wanted the highest bidder… Steve

When I called him he told me I was the first to email him, so the deal was mine. We both knew it was a good deal for me. Its not like he was surprised to find out he could get more money, he offered and accepted the deal. I asked him what he would do if I had already sent the money order. He said "I would have sent it back" I have to call a big BS on that one. Think he was out to rip someone off big time. Be carefull of dealing with this idiot. NOW, I have to figure out how to get my $1.00 back for the money order he made me buy. I do have it documented, I guess I could just have my lawyer friend start something official. Maybe I sold my current wheels in anticipation and now I had to rent a car untill I could afford new ones? BTW, He also had a P.O. Box, so Im thinking he wasnt going to send the Money Order back. Even if he was, that would tie up my money for over a week. So heres some info on him just incase anyone wants to give him a call. (or a visit!

Nice novel, dickhead. You gave me an INFLATED cost of shipping. I mentioned that the ups ONLINE estimate was about half what you wanted. You could have simply called, or checked the web page, DUMB ASS. You also said that you were in no hurry and the deal was mine. Was I call a "gentlemens agreement". It was WAY more, than 20 COD tag, you DOUBLED the shipping cost and said it was a "Pack and Ship" place. That means approx. $105.00 for all four wheels. This is bad news I know and may cause you to reconsider. I don’t understand the large difference in cost from the first estimate I received.
