Paypal Question..PLEASE Answer Quickly!

Question:

Can someone tell me if someone sets up a new account, and uses a credit card to debit from, is there a wait until you that person can pay you? Can they pay immediately? I know there is a wait when funds are transferred from a bank account! Thanks!

Can pay immediately, at least a US user, soon as registers credit card; hard to keep up with all the rules, but believer you get $250 bucks worth of credit card power immediately, then can get around $2500 soon as you do the address verification thing, which takes about 10 days or more (they send snail mail to your credit card billing address with a code you enter on site to raise limit). This was roughly de rules last time I knew, but hey, I’ve heard rumours that PP changes its policy once in a while!  :-) — Mac ebay: doogle www.doogle.com

Paypal has to make a couple of "transactions" to your credit card account. They contain a "code" number and you have to call your credit card company or view the statement online to get that code. Then those code numbers are entered at the Paypal website and your account is "verified". This does take a couple of days I think. Billpoint or i-escrow may be faster. Gary

No, the above isn’t right… You can spend $250 immediately upon registering a cc… The transactions are added to your BANK account that you must register to raise your cc limit to $1,000 (per 6 month period)…. Just went there to look at rules again: "What is the maximum amount I can send with my PayPal account?               Sending Limit: New users starts with a total sending limit of $250. You can lift               this sending limit by confirming your bank account.               Credit Card Charge Limit: Every user who adds a credit card to his account is               allowed to charge up to $250 on that credit card. After confirming a bank               account, the charge limit for your credit card will then be increased to $1,000 per               6-month period, subject to credit availability from your credit card company.               Note: There is no Credit Card Charge Limit for payment sent to a Premier or               Business Account. You can use your credit card to pay for all of your business               transactions without limitation after you confirm a bank account." — Mac ebay: doogle www.doogle.com
