It is actions that I have been forced to enter into after false claims were made by other person(s) to avoid paying outstanding debts. This action has absolutely nothing to do with my building bicycle frames for anyone as personally I could not care less about the parties involved. Lloyd, You should be aware that, because of some of your inflammatory posting in the past, including remarks that could be seen as impugning the integrity of others in the bike business, this post was likely to raise a few eyebrows. Perhaps you could explain a little more to clear the air. For instance, if someone has one of these frames for which they paid good money, what is their recourse and what is the likely outcome? It is highly unorthodox for a business’s creditors to attach the merchandise sold in good faith and currently in customer hands. Given how tight you’re being with information, I suspect anyone who DOES have one of these frames may be tempted to grind off the serial number and keep their mouth shut. A little more explanation might go a long way toward clearing the air, reassuring people, and getting the people in question to speak up.

If you can put forward another method in which we can contact unknown people who might have purchased products after seeing them advertised on this newsgroup then we will follow up that option. After discussing our options with the parties involved and the police it was decided that in an attempt to give everyone ample chance to contact our offices we would post a message on the newsgroup and wait. I repeat again, I am NOT in an way saying that any of the stated parties have committed a crime, or acted improperly. I am saying that matters that should have been resolved using appropriate channels have not been and that we are now left with this course of action to try and resolve the matter. Lloyd

It is not a smear campaign. Steve’s Multisport is a very reputable business and I believe Steve Harad is essentially an honest. However some matters have not been resolved in a professional manner that has now resulted in the commencement of legal actions to recover outstanding debts, or to settle the debts as they may be. The parts that is, and only should be, of concern to anyone on this newsgroup is that they may have purchased a product that is subject to ownership claim. The ownership of the goods may be questioned as is the right of any supplier of products who has not been paid in full. Similar to if you buy a stolen car, the person who sold you the car does not have the right to sell the car and as a result you could have it taken away from you. Lloyd

The bicycle frames involved were sold via this newsgroup. The petition to the courts requires that anyone who may be involved be duly notified. Is it fair to put a small posting in some miscellaneous local newspaper that will be read by no one likely to be effected by the court actions? I personally don’t care either way what people think but I know how many people from this newsgroup could be effected as ultimately the frames were stolen and could be subject to recovery actions to recoup money owed to various parties? EBay has provided information about various bidders several of who I know from this newsgroup. If I had layed down good money to buy one of the bikes I would sure as hell prefer to know what is going on. Look at it for what it is not what you think it may be, there is no spite or stupid antics involved it is simply a notice to people who may be involved. Lloyd
