If it’s just the credit card and you’re in good standing, I should think you’ll l be all right. But if you want true peace of mind, you might consider moving to another venue. Maybe CitiCorp? They seem to have interest in the on-line banking business. It’s too bad they’re tanking. Apparently they were one of the largest spammers on the internet for a while, but I never noticed. I love my NextCard, I have a 5.24% interest rate and a $6k limit. That’s really a good thing because I can do pretty much anything with it.

The Fed’s have taken them over. If you already have a card, you can keep using it and keep paying the monthly bill, but no new cards will be issued while the Feds try to find a bank to take over the mess. Pat Barrett

As the largest credit card spammer, I’m surprised they lasted this long. They used to pay people to spam for them, that way it looked like they were not the spammers.
