Question:
I’ve got the kavorka, Astroboy, the lure of the animal. I’m dangerous! When I had my theater I could count on one or two peed off people each week, usually sore ’cause they had done something dumb and wanted to blame somebody else or someone caught stealing, sneaking in, etc. Each time it was "I’ll never come here again" or "I’ll tell all my friends never to come here again", you know, real scary threats. A certain
I don’t threaten that. I do it. When UPS pissed me off by not filling my insurance claim on a broken item, I took business away from them. BIG business. I chaired several committees at university, and worked with the Community Relations dept. as well as several departments in the city bureaucracy, and they all used UPS… until I talked them out of it. I told all of them to give UPS my name when they pulled their accounts, so they know who is responsible for their loss of business. Got a nasty call from some UPS head honcho. I told him why he lost my business, the business at the university, and the business from the city. And told him to pound sand when he offered to make things right. His chance to make things right was long past. (Then there’s my first Korean employer, whom I put out of business when he refused to pay me, and threatened to sic Immigration on me… I consider the $3000 I lost money well spent… he lost almost $30K) — ALL I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED FROM SEINFELD: Two cups in front, two loops in back. I got it. -=- Why would I be a leg man? I don’t need legs. I have legs. -=- If every instinct you have is wrong, then the OPPOSITE must be right.

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Speaks for itself. First moron puts a bid on an item after 2 hours of it being posted, clearly it stated what it was and who the artist was, auction ends and he replies he doesn’t want it now because it isn’t the artist that he thought it was. Second one emails me after the auction ends, asks can I send the $5 magazine and he’ll ‘check it out’ and then send the payment. I reply no, the way eBay works is that I list, he bids, he wins, he pays then he gets the magazine. Sends me an email saying well forget it then, bye. So I reply that if he’s pulling out then I’ll be filing a NPB to recoup my fees. He replies that I can’t do that because he has the right to back out and change his mind. So I thought, I don’t need the aggrivation and neg’d them both. I fully expect a neg back, but so be it. I’m tired of the clowns doing this. Oh, and I’m gonna file the NPB’s as well. I ain’t gonna be out of pocket. I’ve had people pull things just as ridiculous, I’ve filed for NPB and left negative feedback, and never gotten a negative back. I know it happens, but it isn’t absolute that it happens every time. I think you’re more likely to get a negative over the person who claims he has the right to back out, but I’d be willing to bet that you don’t get a negative from the newbie who changed his mind. I’ve left a dozen negatives, and never gotten one in return. It’s always a risk, but it isn’t the dead certainty some people would have you believe. One day it’ll catch up with me, but if you never leave a negative, in an attempt to protect your own feedback, the whole feedback system becomes a sham. Richard Ward

I think anybody with 3 digit fb who has No negs is: very lucky
Yup, OR selling things that get less of that 1 in 20 crowd. ready for a fall
Well, sure, when you get to 3 digits with no negs, you really expect one to hit sooner or later. Like Richard, I’ve given negs, but it’s only been after 45 or so days and many many emails. doing business in such a strange manner that they may be losing money on
their net sales Ummm, just out of curiousity, how does this logic work?? If someone has no negs, how do you figure they’re losing money on net sales? Brenda ebay: ealaindraoi fb: 241, no negs no neutrals

Kind of liberating not being a ‘feedback whore’ and doing anything to avoid negs isn’t it! :-) Indeed – I’ve had enough of the deadbeats that sit there and pull this kind of crap and then threaten you with a neg if you don’t play the game by their rules. Last time I looked eBay set the rules and that’s that. You don’t alter the rules to suit yourself. I’ve been patient with both of the clowns, no nasty emails from my end and I’ve pointed out why I’m going to file the NPB and why I’m going to neg them. Neither have replied so I guess they don’t much care – one has a zero feedback and just joined two weeks ago and the other has a feedback rating of 9 (soon to be 8). I have negs on my account, I’ve found that people who care will email asking for an explaination. If they like what they hear then they bid. But I’m done with this hostage situation that appears to be going on.
Its amazing how a buyer with 10% neg, maybe more, thinks its a great idea to threaten a seller with 1%nfb with one more neg. Thats about where I am now. Yet one good buyer made a goofy comment yesterday about "all my negs". Well, I’ve got 8 vs. almost 900 unique +. IF he feels I look bad he clearly misunderstands the whole fb thing and its a bit late to explain it to him. I think anybody with 3 digit fb who has No negs is: very lucky ready for a fall doing business is such a strange manner that they may be losing money on their net sales. A certain small percentage of humanity is composed of squirells and nuts and nothing you do will change it.
