Over 30 negs! Email eBay with a link to the scumbag’s feedback page. Or if you post a link to the auction, I’ll call my rep there, and she’ll boot him off.

File complaint for nonperforming seller. When enough complaint piles against one seller, eBay will then get the seller booted. Also did you pay by Paypal? If it has been under 30 days, you can still file complaint and try to get the money back. — To reply, replace digi.mon with tds.net

Chaz, lots of luck! I’ve been dealing with the same issue and when checked seller’s FB today, she had another 4 negs for the same reason. I’ve complained to eBay but they have done nothing. She has a total of 24 negs for the same complaint yet eBay does nothing! I finally did get my money back from Pay Pal but before that I took my complaints offline so the fallout from her trying to rip me off may be just a of a pain for her. Ideas where to complain: law enforcement in her location, post office for mail fraud, better business bureaus if it is an actual business, IRS or Rev Can just to make sure the seller is claiming all income, customs if coming across the border (sellers don’t want to get on the hit list), and if you want to get really nasty complaints can be emailed to their church, neighbours and family. Then you can do a lot of postings as to what a fraud they are to usenet, but do take precautions
I have a lot of backdoor ideas too but won’t post them. You get the idea. Use your imagination and real the seller for the fraudulant cook he or she is. You can stir up an awful lot of headaches using a minimum amount of your time that will keep that seller so busy they can’t be bothered scamming. If you give that seller enough of a hard time, he or she may rethink scamming someone else.

There’s nothing quantifiable–it’s not like the 3 FVFs thing for buyers. Nor is eBay going to notice the event if it’s chronicled only through negative feedback–it’ll take complaints to eBay before they decide he’s too much trouble to keep. How many? Who knows? You can contact the buyers who’ve negged him and encourage them to file a complaint as well, and that’ll probably make it happen more quickly.
As someone who is also going through this, can you contact the other bidders who left neg FB? I’m talking legally through eBay? I know there are other anonymous ways to do it but to keep it above board? Can one buyer contact another buyer to go against the seller?

The one I’m dealing with is at 24 and growing all for the same offense, not sending the item. How do you just email eBay the link. Ok, I know how to cut and paste but what part of the complaint section on eBay do I use? Second, can your rep really do this? If so, I’ll gladly forward my seller!

I can’t speak for eBay, but I can’t see what rule it would be breaking and I’ve never heard a problem coming from it. These are concluded transactions, after all, so it’s not auction interference. A bunch of buyers complained together about a seller recently and got a good hearing. — Deborah Stevenson [eliminate OBSTACLES to email me]

Gosh. He has a feedback score of 96.7%, and he sells really cheap trinket-level watches and such. Why did you even bid on his stuff? Buying from him is a crapshoot at best. Folks who get their merchandise are real pleased with him; those who don’t, aren’t. Four of his five neutrals this month are from the same buyer who couldn’t be bothered to say anything other than "no comment" three times and "not what I expected" the fourth time. What I find odd is that he’s scrupulous about leaving feedback after every sale and the very few neutrals and negs he’s left are very mild-mannered and quite reasonably worded, not at all what I’d expect from someone who responds as you claim he did on the phone. I kind of wonder what tone *you* took during that call that might have provoked him. You have no way of knowing whether he mailed items out or not; al you know is that yours wasn’t delivered. All this over a pound or two you lost in a transaction that carried a high risk of dissatisfaction? Again, why did you bid on his stuff? Did you even read his feedback first? Frankly, if he had something I wanted I’d risk bidding for it, but I’d do so with a mental reservation that it might not work out well. On the other hand, little risked, little to lose. You really ought to pay more attention to details like feedback before you bid. — Ty Who is mostly just a slightly skewed Donna Reed
