Ebay prohibits selling direct to a person who contacts me through email. Obviously, eBay wants to collect selling fees on the item. In my case I’m selling an item, but I mention in the auction that if the size is not available here or in my other auctions, please contact me and I can provide the size needed. Is this something new? When I started selling some leather corsets, shoes, and other items on ebay about 2 years ago, my auctions were pulled because I listed the available sizes and said "winner has choice of sizes". They told me you were not allowed to offer a choice of size for any item. Would be nice if they changed this since it makes so much more sense to be able to list several sizes instead of cluttering up a category with each item in each available size or color as I’ve seen done. Be careful how you word that. You want to be sure you are then going to list that item on eBay for the person to buy: "The eBay item page cannot refer to or promote the seller’s individual Web site, off eBay sales or other businesses. "

You don’t have to "be careful" about telling people to ask if you have the size they want or specify the size when they send payment, John. T-shirt sellers do it all the time with no repercussions. Long as you have the sizes then you’re fine. David Hakala
