Question:
I listed a few auctions with Turbo Lister a couple hours ago and I just checked to find that two of my items have been BIN’ed for $425 each. I set my reserve to $400 and in 1 hour 28 minutes after listing the rest is history. While this is no record braking time for an auction to be completed, it just reaffirms that all is well out in eBay land. God, I love eBay. Rita

Well, they’ve been slow for me. I’m getting all the BINs I usually got, but I’m not getting any regular bidding at all. Much worse than just a week ago. eBay usually slows down a bit right now, so I’m not particularly worried long term, but I’m not having a good April so far. Richard Ward

All is well in eBay land all depends on the category you are selling in. I did sell 3 of my 4 halfprice fixed price listing day items, but not at any premium prices. They were things I’d been trying to get rid of for ages and finally tried my rock bottom price on eBay and did it. I will still list more stuff this month, because I need to get it out of here… and would rather do so and make a few bucks than just toss it or give it away, but I’m holding off on listing much in the way of anything good or expensive. Something interesting though… I recently ran through one of my website counter stats and it does appear that April is one of the slowest months for people accessing my site. I’m guessing tax time and Easter vacations have a lot to do with it. That, and good spring weather in some places. Cynthia

amen! practically no bids the past 3 weeks, a few BINs, but not nearly enough. robert "They say that childhood forms us, that those early influences are the key to everything. Is the peace of the soul so easily won? Simply the inevitable result of a happy childhood? What makes childhood happy? Parental harmony? Good health? Security? Might not a happy childhood be the worst possible preparation for life? Like leading a lamb to the slaughter."

This week I’ve had my highest ration of BINS ever — out of 25 items with BINS that went up Wednesday, 12 have sold with BIN. Seems to be a decent week otherwise. I notice that a lot of my competitors aren’t selling. Fewer buyers but fewer items for sale = same ol same ol ?????? My items accounted for 25% of the entire inventory avaialable in certain subcategories searched by name brands on all of eBay — the first time this has happened, too. — David
