I just had a bid placed and retracted during the last 8-9 minutes of my auction. Reason for retraction given, "Wrong item". I’m just curious as to what reasons the bidder has given for the other six retractions indicated on their FB page. alanama — Alana You can only find that information on the auction listing page itself. Thanks for the suggestion. I did a search but my auction that she retracted her bid on does not appear on her auction history page. It would seem that the system is set up so that after a retraction evidence of that bidder’s participation in that auction is pretty much erased. Near as I can determine, all that remains is a number on the feedback page and the retraction in the bid history of the auction page. I think that knowing the reason given for bid retractions and bid cancellations is as useful (if not more so) as feedback when trying to determine how a transaction with a total stranger is going to go. Unless eBay has just recently changed this, once a person retracts a bid, that auction no longer shows up in the retractor’s bid history. This is one of my pet peeves with their system… David
