Fake Ebay Email?

Question:

I received an email today with the title "Avoid Hidden Charges – use eBay Payments!", but all its links went back to some website chtah.com.   I reported it to Ebay. BEWARE!

All of eBay’s marketing e-mail is sent by chtah.com. If you follow those links, you will find that they forward you to the appropriate page on ebay.com

Response:

Ebay warns people not to click on links that are not originated by them, and then they have someone send out advertising links by chtah.com???  How Stupid!  I wonder how many people are just deleting these emails right away, as I did.
