You should try using Google to search for html help as there are lots of free tutorials that would do better justice than this post.

Take a look at eBay item 7556288263. Check the two pictures, which are low resolution. Click on them and you get high resolution images. All these images are served from my own server(s), not eBay’s. My servers are free (to me) so I’m not paying eBay for hosting my images at all. (as a side benefit I can view my logs to see who’s been looking at which images, which gives me an idea of what items and images seem to be more interesting…) Is this what you want? If yes, it is all in the HTML code. Any decent HTML editor will allow you to do this type of thing–I use MSFT Word to create my descriptions, with a bit of manual tuning before putting up on eBay, but any HTML editor shold work fine.

Also useful for tracking down image theft so you could find the leeching seller, quietly replace the original image (like XXX rated pron), and then report to eBay. (or if you used XXX rated pron, let someone else report it). I wish I could do that to my images but my ISP doesn’t support that feature and I’m too cheap to pay for a decent image hosts with tracking features. Maybe when I get DSL or better, I could make my spare PC as web server just for image and for screwing up sellers who steals images. As for the HTML, it’s not really hard to do the HTML. Include them in the listing so they’ll see them.
