Question:
I’ve made sure I have the word PayPal spelled out in my auctions but now I’m wondering if I should go a step further. I’m wondering if I should include PayPal reference in the auction title. "Sweater made from naval lint, rare, PP"
So does ‘PP’ come to mean PayPal? I hate wasting any space, I’ve only got 45 characters to work with, but I’m wondering more and more if that would be 3 characters well spent if I included PP in the titles. Any opinions on this, or do I need less coffee?
I don’t know, but 45 characters seems like a lot for the Title line. Tell you what though, why don’t you and I start adding ‘PP’ at the end of the title line, maybe it will become a tradition, and it will not show up in any search. Which it would be horrible to choke the Title search engine. And what about that Billpoint thing, is that any good?
Response:
I’ve noticed on some other message boards that some actually include PayPal as part of their search parameter. I have to admit myself I’d MUCH rather use PayPal than a money order or personal check. Saving money, time, and effort always influences my decisions and I always seem to have new payments in my PayPal account. The problem is some of the PayPal listings don’t come up in a search of the descriptions. If I search for: troy rocket sanders sparky paypal I’m going to come up empty. if I search for: troy rocket sanders sparky I’ll get a match. The seller accepts PayPal, but because they’ve used just the 88×33 icon (the ones that don’t upset eBay) the word paypal is only in the url and that doesn’t register in searches.
