I wouldn’t touch the software, given the slimy marketing. The email I connection with or endorsement by eBay. The header records in the email prove this to be a lie. The web site in the email, www.ebay0.com, kicks you to a different IP address, not giving you time to scroll down the page and see the disclaimer about having no affiliation with eBay. The button for purchasing from PayPal would starts a transaction with And finally, their claim that you don’t even have to be connected to the internet for their sniping feature to work makes me think that they have to store your eBay userid and password on their system. Not something I’m particularly interested in doing. Just my $.02. Kevin Anyone have any experience using this software? Good Bad? Indifferent?

I’ve yet to see any auction software I’d trust. Some of the apps use so much resources what with their own ftp client etc. that you just about have to shut down everyting else. You are dependent on the maker for help when ebay does their regular monthy rehash of the pages. You also are dealing with second and third tier software companies, Some of these apps take so long to master that the time would be better spent learning some of the more exotic functions of a conventional spreadsheet. I’m no Microsoft lover but I’d still prefer standard old Excell to these bush league progies. Look: Just load up the following: Excel (or any other spreadsheet including star office) Bulletproof ftp Any clipboard enhancer (you can get ‘em free at tucows and others) Agent newsreader Opera web browser (or Netscape if you are not adventurous) Your fav camera software plus a viewer such as Vuepro Wordpad txt editor. All above is free or came with your computer. You dont need anything else. All are proven apps, well supported, stable! I’ve used this suite for 2 years, no real problems, all are ready for anything ebay throws at ya.

Well, I can’t speak about the quality of the software, but it is being promoted via spam email, so I wouldn’t touch it regardless of how good it is. And since the promoter (author?) is using the eBay name without permission in its spam, I’d be afraid that eBay will put him out of business, and/or will tweak their site so his software doesn’t work anymore, and then where will you be? If the software needs to be hawked via spam, instead of by reputation, how good can it be? But I don’t support spammers, so the point is moot with me.
