Reporting Fraudulent eBay Seller?

Question:

First off, I tried to find an answer to this myself. I found a copy of the FAQ at http://www.faqs.org/faqs/business/online-marketing/ebay/. It said the current copy was available at http://www.banneditems.com/amoefaq.html, but that site didn’t exist.

Of course it helps if you spell the term you are searching for in the FAQ correctly… :-( D’oh! — Craig Wagner, craig.wagner(at)comcast.net Portland, OR "Don’t ban high-performance vehicles, ban low-performance drivers!"

Response:

I think I may have been scammed. I’m not sure yet, so I’m not going to post details of the seller or auction just yet. Anything I’m forgetting? TIA — Craig Wagner, craig.wagner(at)comcast.net Portland, OR "Don’t ban high-performance vehicles, ban low-performance drivers!"

If you EVER post details of a seller and an auction, you will be guilty of auction interference, which is an actionable offense. Next time, try searching in the group for which the FAQ was written.  For instance, a google search on "FAQ" contained in the subject line, in this group, for the dates 10/1/04-10/14/04 turned up the copy of the FAQ — the entire thing — posted right here on 10/7/04.  Without even doing a google search you could have probably found it simply by looking at recent posting if your news server spools posts for at least a week. At any rate, the FAQ has indeed moved to a new site and can now be found at http://www.faqs.org/faqs/business/online-marketing/ebay/ :::waving a "thanks again!" to Bill for maintaining and posting it::: —   Ty Who is mostly just a slightly skewed Donna Reed
