What's the easiest to explain how to join this group?

Question:

tell them to type this into the browser (anywhere it says http://www.whatever.com) IE will launch outlook express, and if properly configured, jump straight to it (works for aol also)

Ok, I’m an idiot and have a problem on how to explain something without looping things around. Is there a quick explaination that I can give her without getting her more confused? Thanks, Kimberly

Her ISP should be able to help her set up newsgroup access.Of course, first, she will need news software on her computer. Or just tell her to use deja.com.

That’s what I finally ended up doing. I sent her the link to deja since I can’t properly explain how to set up newsgroups via Outlook. She hasn’t responded so maybe I totally confused her. :(  Oh, well we all managed to stumble here some how. Kimberly – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – — Elaine Remove ‘–RemoveThis–’ to email. In outlook express (what I’m using)  he/she should do the following: Click on the button/icon for Newgroups (looks like a file folder, I suppose) In the empty box type in the name of this newsgroup alt.marketing.online.ebay Click on it, then click SUBSCRIBE Click OK he/she should then be subscribed, and this group will show up in the list of subscribed newsgroups. Now, if he/she is using something other than outlook express, someone else will have to lead ‘em through! — -SEC "Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend.
