no custom charges from singapore & alike?

Question:

HI, There are many sales being shipped from singapore. Some of the prices are very competative with UK mainland prices. I was wondering wether all those people buying from singapore had to pay custom charges on top of the end sale price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11070&item=2… http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2934013695&categ… Thanks

Why would you not expect to pay Customs Duty on high-end products being imported to your home country? Seems obvious to me that would have to pay SOMEthing. (Duty differs country to country; in Korea, anything over $200 is slapped with Duty of anywhere from 10-20% depending on what it is). Just be sure you know what your country’s customs laws are, so you can figure in the cost of Duty for your item before you bid. Curtis. — No soup for you!

Since the item is listed on ebay.co.uk and the seller has put United Kingdom as his country, one could argue that VAT should be included in the winning bid. Ola Trygve Kvitle
