Odd. Their sales number in the US answers as "Tate & Lyle."
Response:
Yes, but the smallest amount of liquid Tate & Lyle sells is four gallons. I have bought sweetzfree which is the same thing repackaged,
I doubt it’s the same thing. Straight liquid sucralose is something like 500X as sweet as sugar. I know Sweetzfree is cut with water, not sure how much? LCing since 12/01/03- Me- 5′7" 265/159/140 & hubby- 6′ 310/188/180 http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/lcer09/my_photos

I don’t think eBay allows the selling of food. Sure they do. It’s only medicine/drugs and people/body parts they have issues with.
Wow, you’re right, they do. For some odd reason I always thought it wasn’t allowed. And hey, there’s even someone selling a bottle of "liquid Splenda". $23 plus $7 shipping, ouch. For 8 ounces = 32 cups of sugar. Hmm.. sounds a lot like what http://locarber.com/ is selling, just for more money. Speaking of, I made a pitcher of lemonade today using liquid splenda for the sweetner, about 2 teaspoons of it (slightly more than a cup’s worth of sugar), 1 1/2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 8 cups of water. Very tasty. — — Chris Smolinski Black Cat Systems http://www.blackcatsystems.com

- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I have found a way to purchase pure, undiluted sucralose powder (not Splenda, which does have carbs) for $200 a pound from Tate & Lyle, the manufacturers of Sucralose. Unfortunately, the smallest amount they’ll sell is one kilogram, or about 2.2 pounds. That’s the equivalent sweetness of over 1300 pounds of sugar, which is probably more sweetener than I’ll use in the next 40 years! If I pay the $440 and buy the whole kilo, does anyone think I’ll have trouble selling 16 to 20 ounces of it on eBay for about the same price I paid for it per ounce? I don’t want to make money off the deal, I just want to be able to buy the amount that I want to buy and no more… I’d be happy to buy whatever portion of the kilo you don’t want! Email me if you are interested.
Are you sure they sell it in a 1kg size? On the Tate & Lyle website it says it comes in 10kg packs.

I don’t think there is any such thing as "straight liquid sucralose" because sucralose is not a liquid, it is a powder. The liquid sold by Tate & Lyle is 25% dissolved sucralose and the rest is water. If you want to double-check this, you can call them. I know Sweetzfree is cut with water, not sure how much?
As far as I know , Sweetzfree is not cut with water after it leaves the manufacturer, it is simply repackaged. 4 ounces equals the sweetening power of 96 cups of sugar. That would be consistant with 25% sucralose solution. This would mean that one cup of Sweetzfree is equal in sweetness to 192 cups of sugar. There’s a discrepancy because we are comparing fluid measurements with dry measurements, but it’s within the range one would expect for 25% sucralose solution.

You are correct about what it says on their site, but I called them and they told me that they do have it for sale in 1-kg packages.

AFAIK, one still has to "be" a food or beverage manufacturer to purchase pure sucralose from T&L.

I was misled. I called them last week and they were about to take my order, but I wasn’t ready to order a whole kilo yet. When they asked me the name of my business I simply told them that it doesn’t have a name yet, and they didn’t balk at that, they continued to gather information to place the order (At the time I was thinking that since they had quoted me a price of $200/lb that they would sell one pound, but then I found out I’d have to order a whole kilo so I postponed the order.) The salesperson I spoke with said she’d save my information so I wouldn’t have to give it all to them again when I was ready to order. It sounded like they were going to sell to me, and that’s when I made that post saying I had found a way to buy the powder. When I called back this week, they acted like they had no interest in looking up my pre-order, so I had to give them all the info again. When they questioned me about my business I explained that I was trying to develop a product (a type of protein suppliment) to sell and that I wanted to develop the product before I actually started up a business for selling it. They said, "Sorry, we only sell to manufacturers." I thought about arguing the fact that I AM a manufacturer even though I don’t have the business set up yet, but I figured it was pointless. The sales rep had made it clear she didn’t want to sell me anything. Apparently I have to do things ass-backwards and set up a business before I can even buy the ingredients to develop the product which the business is going to sell!

I personally wouldn’t buy it from you on eBay. Others might. I like foodstuff in it’s original packaging, unopened etc. JMO. — Cheri
I can understand that. Ideally, if I could find some people in my area (Minneapolis area) we could go in on an order, and meet with the unopened package to exchange payments and divvy up the product so we call all see it isn’t being adulterated or diluted (and is in sanitary conditions.)

You could put it into solution with water to cut it down, and make it easier to use. Perfect for sweetening drinks. I’d love to be able to buy that here in the US, depending on the shelf life, I’d certainly plunk down $440 for a kilo of it, if it lasted for a few years. I make a lot of iced tea, etc. OK, if it lasted for quite a few years
Since you’re willing to buy a whole kilo for yourself and don’e need to split with anyone, I’ll repost the contact info in case you need it: Tate & Lyle is the UK company that makes Sucralose. Their US phone number for sales is 1-800-266-6766.
Hint: They won’t sell it to you if they think you’re going to resell it as a sweetener.

True. That’s why I would mix it with water before I use it.
The key to powdered splenda is that you can mix it with OTHER things too, like cream, olive oil, or soy flour, besides water.

The US manufacturers have shut down others for doing pretty much the same thing. They intend the pure sucralose powder to only be sold to food product manufacturers, and selling the plain powder violates their exclusive distribution rights in the US. I don’t know how similar legal issues work in the UK/EU, but you could find yourself in some trouble. — "There’s a seeker born every minute."

Yes, but the smallest amount of liquid Tate & Lyle sells is four gallons. I have bought sweetzfree which is the same thing repackaged, but it’s much more expensive. $58.00 for four ounces of the liquid which is equal to about one ounce of powder. That’s equal to $928 per pound, compared to $200 per pound when purchased as dry powder directly from Tate & Lyle. There are other sources of the liquid but they are more expensive than sweetzfree. The pure splenda powder might be too concentrated to be practical.
